read. But nothing beats the thrill of being on the field and hunting to have a first hand experience of
getting the hit right. So, this season buckle up and get those boots out in the open and gear up for
the best adventure sport in the days to come!
Go out on to the spot – Of course you didn't think hunting deer could be done in an y other place
other than a field. Get enough food and water to last you for a day, for spotting a deer might take
time even for experienced professionals. Get rest, socialize, but always have an eye on for the deer.
Dress the part – Cold weathers require warm clothing and wearing layers works best throughout the
day. Head and neck area have to be kept warm. But the most important part is the boots, which
cannot be compromised on. Perfect fitting boots of good quality ensure they don't spoil the game for
you. Deer hunting is no sport of finesse and has to be done in all terrains and good boots take you a
long way in this sport.
Invest in tools – Getting the right tools will save a lot of time and energy. Simple tools like the tarp,
rope and a dagger will help in hunting and after hunting as well. But whatever the weapon you are
using, ensure you are comfortable using it. Use the one you are sure you want to use.
Scout your deer – Early mornings or late evenings are the perfect time to scout for deers. Though
technology has given way to scout for deers form the comfort of your house, what is the fun when
you can't take a deer on the field. A few properties might have deer just strolling by , while at some
fields scouting might be more difficult. But having a keen view will help scout for deers.
Where and what – Once you reach the field, where to place yourself is what you have to decide.
Once settled, evaluate the shooting lanes and prepare for the actual shoot.
Final hit – Look out for the vitals and concentrate to make the hit and take the deer home. Antlers,
trees and the surrounding should not matter to you and you should make sure you have your eyes on
the deer.
Hunting does not ensure you hit the deer, but practice can never fail you.
